Delivering Microsoft SharePoint consultancy, feature development, mentoring and training

One of the areas of increased demand in recent months has been short-term Microsoft SharePoint consultancy services. Rather than clients contracting service partners to deliver complete solutions, we are experiencing an increase in supportive services such as consultancy, mentoring and training These expert engagements assist the internal technical resources, either with focused development to meet deadlines, or high-level architecture and systems health-checks and consultancy, or customised training and mentoring to ensure technical staff have the skills and knowledge needed to successfully execute projects.

AOL Broadband

AOL Broadband is one of the UK's largest Internet Service Providers (ISP's) and currently helps 1.7 million people connect to the Internet.

Working in partnership with new media Agency Box of Blue Ltd who undertook the design work, Ballard Chalmers developed Microsoft SharePoint master pages and page templates and implemented the branding for Intranet content management system. Ballard Chalmers is continuing to provide expert SharePoint Support services to the AOL team as the MOSS Intranet grows and develops.

ASLEC

The Association of Signals, Lighting and other highway Electrical Contractors - is a trade membership organisation formed in 1952 with the prime objective of representing the interests of organisations operating in the highway electrical market.

Ballard Chalmers delivered information analysis services and MOSS site configuration, document library and web part configuration to support the internal users of the MOSS internal collaboration site, and followed up with architecture consultancy to enable them to continue with the ongoing progression of the MOSS intranet.

Ceres Power

Ceres Power is a high growth product development company founded in 2001 to commercially exploit revolutionary fuel cell technology originally developed within Imperial College during the preceding 10 years. The company combines significant industrial experience involving the commercialisation of high technology with world class research and development expertise.

Ballard Chalmers is Ceres' MOSS technology partners of choice. We have delivered infrastructure consultancy for Microsoft SharePoint configuration and deployment, advising on and developing new features to support template and document version tracking, particularly for ISO quality standards tracking. Ballard Chalmers continues to provide ongoing Support as required to the internal IT team for the MOSS deployment.

The Leprosy Mission International

The Leprosy Mission International is a leading international non-denominational Christian organization, with over 130 years experience in leprosy work. As long as leprosy afflicts individuals and communities, The Leprosy Mission (TLM) is committed to doing all it can to break its power and impact.

Ballard Chalmers, again working with new media agency Box of Blue Ltd, implemented Microsoft SharePoint master page and content management templates, along with style sheets and branding. This has enabled TLM to begin their MOSS implementation and continue to roll it out within the organisation.

Ofsted

Senior Ballard Chalmers MOSS consultants have recently delivered MOSS user training and implementation consultancy for Parity Plc at the Office for Standards in Education, the National Audit Office, and the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

The National Audit Office audits the accounts of all central government departments and agencies, as well as a wide range of other public bodies, and reports to Parliament on the economy, efficiency and effectiveness with which they have used public money; The new Ofsted - the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills brings together the wide experience of four formerly separate inspectorates. It will inspect and regulate care for children and young people, and inspect education and training for learners of all ages; and Equality and Human Rights Commission is the Independent statutory body established to help eliminate discrimination, reduce inequality, and protect human rights in the UK.
