Green shoots of summer
After dips earlier in the year Ballard Chalmers has enjoyed extremely
strong months of June, July and August, with July being our best-ever
month for booked jobs in the history of the company to date.
Probably now more than ever our watchwords of On Time, In Budget
and High Quality are vital to our clients. Our focus on these values
has seen us continue to grow through the recession and to service
our customers, help new clients and win business from our competitors.
A key element of our success is our focus on what we know and do
best - Experts in Microsoft .NET development, SQL Server, SharePoint
Server and BizTalk Server. This translates to Business Process,
Business Collaboration and Business Intelligence. Critical factors
to ensuring return on investment in IT systems.
Recent new clients and projects examples include:
Working on behalf of Kelway (www.kelway.co.uk) Ballard Chalmers
has been developing a .NET Blackberry smartphone application for
Brixton plc (www.brixtonplc.co.uk) to enable their property Surveyors
to undertake and deliver property surveys direct from their Blackberry
while inspecting on site. Brixton owns and manages more than 18
million sq ft of industrial and warehouse space in the UK.
Ballard Chalmers has been working for Weetabix (www.weetabix.com)
for the last several months delivering training and mentoring in
.NET, SQL, SharePoint and BizTalk Server, on site at Weetabix International
Headquarters in Kettering Northants. We are delivering tailored
technical and user training as well as ongoing post-training mentoring
to support the internal technical team. Weetabix were introduced
to Ballard Chalmers by SQL and Business Intelligence specialists
Consolidata (www.consolidata.co.uk). As one of the top specialist
consultancies in the UK, Consolidata are Ballard Chalmers partners
for SQL BI expertise.
We are currently delivering extensive custom .NET and SharePoint
business process systems development services to the private equity
fund administration services company International Private Equity
Services Ltd (www.ipes.com). Ipes is a leading specialist provider
of fund administration services for the private equity industry.
Headquartered in Guernsey IPES operates globally, working with fund
groups as geographically diverse as Europe, Asia and Latin America
and has in excess of $36bn assets under administration with over
70 clients, 300 funds and 4000 investors.
Ballard Chalmers has recently completed a SharePoint project for
AOL Broadband/TalkTalk (www.aolbroadband.co.uk), which is featured
in more detail in a separate news
article.
In addition, Ballard Chalmers are very proud to have been engaged
for further work and contract extensions in this period at clients
such as Transport for London, Parity plc, Canterbury Christ Church
University, Deutsche Bank, and others.
Utilizing our ISO 9001 quality processes, well targeted continuous
internal improvements have proven extremely effective in keeping
BC on course on the expansion enjoyed in 2008. While external economic
