Business Challenge

In order to keep ahead Learning Tree needed to ensure that they had the best curriculum in the market place for two of Microsoft latest server software releases; namely Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) and SQL Server 2008.

The courses needed to be written by professionals with knowledge and experience in both the products and course authorship.

Solution

In 2008 Learning Tree International Inc commissioned Ballard Chalmers to write three training courses:

• Course 956: Administering Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007: Hands-On
• Course 532: SQL Server Transact-SQL Programming: Hands-On
• Course 133: SQL Server Server-Side Programming with .NET and XML: Hands-On

All the courses were written by Ballard Chalmers CTO Geoff Ballard, who has extensive prior experience in the area of course presentation and authorship.

The courses provide comprehensive coverage of both existing and new features of the two products and are the result of a combination of knowledge of the prior product versions and research into new features carried out by the author.
