The SharePoint Content Management course provides a basic grounding in using Microsoft Office SharePoint System (MOSS) as a Content management System. It is suitable for both IT staff and non-IT staff. No prior knowledge of SharePoint is required. A general familiarity with websites and content management as a whole will be beneficial but is not required. This course is targeted at users who will be tasked with building web sites based on MOSS sites and will be responsible for creating, editing and managing web pages and the associated approval processes. Combining presentation slides with hands-on SharePoint Labs, the topics covered in this course include:
The standard course is a half-day course presented on a client's site for up to six delegates. In order to participate in the hands-on labs, delegates will need access to a laptop or desktop computer. For clients with an existing SharePoint installation, the ability for delegates to connect to a SharePoint Test environment on the network provides the ideal working environment for the course. If this is not possible, a working environment can be provided for each delegate in the form of a Virtual Machine hosted on a USB hard drive (computers must be running Windows XP or later with Microsoft Virtual PC installed - this can be provided if required). If no access to computers is available, the labs can be demonstrated to delegates using the SharePoint environment which the trainer will bring to the course. Testimonial
